MMA La Mirada

Part of the Monterey Museum of Art, La Mirada is an historic adobe comprised of galleries and gardens.  At the entrance under a canopy of Monterey cypresses is a large rhododendron garden with pathways that meander through the sedimentary Carmel stone hillside. The formal rose garden is historic and particularly noteworthy because of its many examples of hybrid teas and older, heirloom varieties.  There is also a well-developed propagation center, a flower cutting garden, and many romantic nooks with water features and specimen plantings.

Hwy 1 to Monterey exit (Fremont St). A quarter mile after first stoplight, turn left on Via Mirada (look for La Mirada sign). Museum entrance is on the right.
Two-hour free parking is available on the streets adjacent to MMA Pacific St.; Free parking is available on site at MMA La Mirada.
